What we collect

01 From your device and browser

Any website receives some technical information simply because your browser asks it for pages. We use it to make the site work on your screen and to keep it secure.

• IP address and approximate country. Used to route your connection, show the site in a sensible way for your region and detect abuse. You can hide your IP with a VPN, though some features may then behave differently.
• Device and browser type, screen size and language. Used to show the right layout and language and to fix bugs on specific devices. This comes from your browser automatically.
• Guest identifier and session cookies. Used to recognize your guest session and keep features like free matches and the Reward Center working. You can clear them in your browser settings, which starts a fresh guest session.
• Camera and microphone access. Used only to send your live video and audio to the person you are matched or calling with. Your browser asks first, and you can switch access off at any time.

02 Details you hand over yourself

Nothing in this group is needed to try the site as a guest. You provide it when you decide to use more features.

• Sign-up details. Used to create and secure your account and to contact you about it. You can update them in your settings or ask us to delete the account.
• Display name, profile photo and description. Used to show who you are to people you chat with. You choose what to include and can edit or remove it.
• Messages and club posts. Used to deliver what you write or share to the people it is meant for and keep conversations available. You control what you send; deleting your account removes your messages from our active systems.
• Emails to support. Used to answer your question and keep a record of the conversation. Write only what is needed to explain the problem.

03 From what you do on the site

Some information is created as you use SofiaDateCam. It is what lets the features remember you.

• Follows, blocks and match history. Used to show your follow list, stop blocked people from reaching you and avoid matching you again with someone you blocked.
• Coin balance, purchases and gifts. Used to keep your balance correct, answer payment questions and meet accounting rules. Card details are handled by payment providers, not stored by us.
• Reports you make or receive. Used to look into rule breaking and keep the site safe. Reports are handled by our team.
• Live stream comments. Used to show your comments in the stream to the girl running it and other viewers.
• Usage statistics. Used, mostly in grouped form, to see which features work and where people get stuck, so we can improve the site.

04 Things we never request

We do not ask for your home address, your workplace, your government ID or your social media accounts to use SofiaDateCam, and we suggest you do not share them in chats either. If someone in a chat asks for any of them, you can say no, end the chat and report it. We do not sell the information listed on this page.

05 Information about other people

Sometimes you share things about someone else, for example when you report a user, mention a person in a support email or appear in the background of a call with a friend. We use that information only for the purpose it was given, such as looking into a report, and we treat it with the same care as your own.

Please do not post other people's photos, names or contact details in chats or clubs without their permission. Doing so breaks our rules and can get an account removed.

06 Information we refuse to keep

The site is closed to anyone under eighteen. If we find that information belongs to someone younger, we close the account and delete what we hold.

We also remove content that breaks the rules, such as explicit images or scam messages, once it has been dealt with. If you send us something by mistake, like a full card number in an email, tell us and we will delete it.

07 How to control or remove it

You can change your profile and settings inside the site, revoke camera and microphone access in your browser, clear cookies and site data, block anyone and leave any chat. To get a copy of your data, correct it or delete your account, email us from the address linked to your account.
